The new exhibition The Art of Devastation: Medals and Posters of the Great War explores the art medals and posters of World War I. The exhibit is a joint project between the Art Center and the American Numismatic Society and will be on view at the Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center from January 27 through April 9. Artists featured in the exhibition include Paul Manship, Charles Strothmann, J.C. Leyendecker, and Fritz Erler. Interspersed in the collection are war posters on loan from the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and Archives and Special Collections Library, Vassar College Libraries. All events are free and open to the public.
