event provides an enjoyable and
intriguing afternoon or evening
featuring a diversity of arts and
artists. YOU decide which events suit
you and your commitment to the
arts.
The 2010 Arts Fund Campaign goal
is $180,000, the Arts Fund Out of
the Box events are crucial to
meeting that goal.
We need you to be as generous as
you can be during these challenging times. There is no minimum donation
to attend these events, nor is there
a maximum because the arts in
Dutchess County are relying on you
to come through with a contribution
that matches your passion and belief
in the arts.

An Afternoon of Early Jazz, Blues and Ragtime, Fine Conversation, & Delicious Wine
Hosts: Judith & Peter Muir
Join acclaimed musician and musicologist Peter Muir and his wife, fellow musician and teacher Judith Muir, for a lazy and relaxed afternoon of listening to rare jazz, blues and ragtime recordings from their collection of vintage 78s. Peter will be sharing stories and insights into the artists and their ground breaking performances while everyone enjoys some snacks and wine. A perfect way to spend an August afternoon.

Wedgewood expert Paul Lauer has one of the largest collections of Wedgwood in the nation and specializes in large ceramic pieces. His talk and slide show “Big is Beautiful” will be followed by an afternoon tea at a private home in Verbank, NY.

1st Annual Golf Un-Tournament
Hosts: Alice Seeger, Tilly Strauss, & Paul Tesoro
Golfers of any level will enjoy this afternoon of golf. Hosts provide an after-golf spread of refreshments and live music. Art from local artists will be on display and can be purchased or just enjoyed! This event requires a fee per player of $54 to cover the greens fees and carts but hosts are picking up the costs of the refreshments so that 100% of your donation goes to the Arts Fund.

Reservations are required for
events and some seating is limited.
The cost of attending these events
is equal to the value of the arts
community which needs your
support. At the end of each event,
the hosts will ask you to make a
contribution to the Arts Fund.
Please be as generous as you can.
The expenses of these events are
being donated by the hosts to
ensure
that 100% of your contribu-
tion toes to the Arts Fund.
To make a reservation, send an
email to info@artsmidhudson.org
and include the following
information:
1. Put "Out of the Box" in the
subject line.
2. In the body of the email include the name of the event you would
like to attend and if you will be
bringing any guests. Please also include the names of the guests, if
possible.
3. Include a contact phone number.
You will receive a confirmation of
your initial email and approximately
one week before the event you will
receive another email with
directions
to the event.

by phone during business
hours - Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm:

Some events have space limitations
and reservations are accepted on a
first come first serve basis. You will
be notified if an event has filled to
capacity.
If you cannot attend an Out of the
Box Event but would like to make a
donation you may do so below or
you can mail a check to the address
underneath. If mailing a donation,
please be sure to note that the
contribution is for the Out of the
Box series.
