Vassar & New York Stage and Film’s Powerhouse Theater will celebrate 25 seasons of presenting great new theater in the Hudson Valley with a gala benefit “A Silver Celebration under the Stars.” At 7pm the gala will offer selections from favorite Powerhouse plays and musicals performed by some of Broadway and Hollywood’s top artists, all of whom, at one time or another, have trod the stage at Powerhouse. The Village of Tivoli hosts the 9th Annual Tivoli Street Painting Festival. Artists of all ages and skills are invited to chalk their favorite image on "Broadway", Tivoli's main street, from 9am to 5pm. This re-enactment of a four- centuries-old Italian art is free of charge. All artists are provided with oil pastels and an 8 foot square palette of pavement.
