We invite photographers to submit work for a collaborative exhibition exploring life in the United States over the past decade. In a time of deep polarization, our country has witnessed a range of powerful events, movements, and cultural shifts that have shaped who we are today. This exhibition seeks to present multiple perspectives—personal, political, cultural, and social—through the lens of photography. We are looking for compelling images that reflect the diverse realities, struggles, hopes, and contradictions that define the state of our nation. From moments of unity to voices of dissent, we welcome work that captures the complexity and nuance of contemporary American life.

We invite artists, makers, and craftspeople of all ages and backgrounds to share works that celebrate Hispanic culture—its traditions, stories, colors, and innovations. From paintings and sculpture to textiles, ceramics, jewelry, and traditional crafts, we want to showcase the creativity that enriches our region.
This exhibition will highlight the ways Hispanic heritage continues to shape and inspire our communities—past, present, and future.

Arts Mid-Hudson is delighted to announce the return of the Dutchess Handmade Holiday Pop-Up Shop, a seasonal showcase and sales opportunity for original, locally crafted works. Taking place in our Poughkeepsie gallery, this curated shop celebrates the artistry and creativity of the Mid-Hudson region during the most festive time of year.
We invite regional artists and makers to submit handmade works that reflect their unique vision and craft—whether shaped by hand, guided by a potter’s wheel, or produced using advanced creative tools such as fine art printers. All work must be original and created within the Mid-Hudson Valley.
This Pop-Up Shop will be thoughtfully curated with an eye toward the fall and winter seasons, including themes of Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and other cultural or seasonal celebrations.

Guest curated by Alta Buden and Craig Monteith, Terrestrial Extra will present work by Hudson Valley-based artists who consider how industrial materials pulled from the Earth’s surface or extracted from its depths become integrated into the visual field.

The event will showcase unique & affordable gifts from regional artists and artisans in a spirited marketplace inspired by traditional European Holiday Markets of old. Tapping into our origins in Berlin, ArtPort Kingston will continue to bring this age-old tradition to Kingston.

East End Arts is proud to announce Fluid Patterns: Water and Climate Change, our newest Juried Exhibition. This show examines water as both a vital resource and a force of disruption—through flood, drought, rising seas, and shifting weather.
We’re especially interested in how patterns—natural, visual, ephemeral or symbolic—emerge from water’s behavior and our relationship to it.
How do we as artists see, feel, or trace these patterns—and what do they reveal?
This national open call welcomes work of all media, including but not limited to painting, sculpture, photography, video, and digital art.
Artists may enter up to three original works new to the local public for selection. Artists must be 16 years or older to enter. Juried by artists Marta Baumiller and Rainer Gross.

Temple Beth-El, located at 118 South Grand Avenue in Poughkeepsie, is excited to host its second annual crafts fair on Sunday, November 16. We are currently seeking vendors.
This event will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase and sell crafts. The vendor fee is $55, which includes a table and two chairs. If you prefer to bring your own table, the fee is $50. (We have a few spots left for those who need electricity at an additional $10 cost).

+ Call for Artists & Artisans: Join Us for “Autumn Artistry” at the Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center!
The Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center invites you to participate in Autumn Artistry, a vibrant indoor/outdoor arts festival celebrating the creativity of our community. This exciting event will take place Sunday, September 14, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, rain or shine, coinciding with Poughkeepsie Open Studios weekend.
Festival highlights include: A showcase of local artists and craftspeople Live music performances Delicious food vendors Fun activities for children
Artists and craftspeople are encouraged to display and sell their work. Outdoor spaces (10 ft.) are available for $45, and indoor spaces (8 ft.) for $65. Access to electricity is available for indoor participants only. Participants must bring their own display materials and canopies.
The Cunneen-Hackett Arts Center is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the arts in the Hudson Valley. Our two historic Victorian-style buildings at 9 & 12 Vassar Street, Poughkeepsie, house a theater, a dance studio, three gallery spaces, private studios, and more.

The Olive Free Library Association will be presenting its 8th Annual Small Works Show, this year titled “Animalia”, in time for the 2025 holiday season. All Hudson Valley artists are invited to show their small works in the Olive Free Library Community Gallery. All genres of art are considered but work MUST be wall-hung and properly wired (NO sawtooths!). The exhibition will open on Saturday, November 15, from 3 – 5 pm and will run through January 3, 2026. If you would like to submit work to be considered, please read the submission instructions below.

Small Works: Textures and Tactility. This show aims to emphasize the sensory richness of materials—highlighting how texture, layering, and surface can deepen our connection to a piece of art. Artists are encouraged to submit small-scale works that engage the viewer’s sense of touch—even if only visually. Whether through heavily worked surfaces, woven materials, embossed forms, or tactile media like fabric, wax, mixed media, or ceramics, the exhibition will focus on artworks that beg to be closely inspected, inviting viewers into a more intimate and sensory-driven experience.
Open to artists working in all visual disciplines, including but not limited to: Mixed media, Fiber arts, Printmaking, Painting, Sculpture (small-scale) and Photography with a focus on surface or materiality.
ABOUT THE JUROR Juried by Susan Eley, Owner and Director of Susan Eley Fine Art founded in 2006. Conceived as a salon-style gallery, SEFA NYC was initially situated in an Upper West Side townhouse in Manhattan. Currently, SEFA operates its main gallery in Hudson in Upstate New York. Before establishing the Gallery, Susan Eisner Eley was an editor and writer for national and regional publications featuring articles on fine art, dance and travel. Eley worked in public relations and education at the Morgan Library & Museum, NY, the Mayor's Art Commission of the City of New York and interned at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Italy. She is also a former professional ballet dancer with the Feld Ballet, NY. Eley has a BA in Art History from Brown University and an MA in Visual Arts Administration from New York University.

Video artists may submit one text document with one link to a file to be reviewed. Please provide title, date, running time and retail price for the video. Artists must be able to transport or ship work to WAAM. Shipped work must contain a prepaid return label. Shipped work must arrive by intake date. All work should be in good condition and ready to hang or install. Any special installation needs must be supplied by the artist for the duration of the show and should be noted in their submission. All work must be the original conception and execution of the artist listed. No reproductions. WAAM reserves the right to reject works that do not comply with these guidelines or are otherwise found to be unsuitable for display.
