Workshop Description: Join Arts Mid-Hudson for a 90-minute panel workshop designed to support artists and creatives in navigating the ever-evolving world of marketing. This session will offer practical insights and guidance tailored to the real challenges our creatives are currently facing.
The first hour will feature presentations from our panelists of arts and marketing professionals, each sharing strategies, experiences, and tools that can help you build visibility and connect meaningfully with your audience. The final 30 minutes will be dedicated to a live Q&A, offering participants the opportunity to receive direct feedback and explore specific questions.
Topics we’ll explore include:
Paper vs. digital marketing: what works, when, and why?
How to evaluate the effectiveness of your outreach methods
Identifying and narrowing your target audience
Strategies for reaching your ideal audience
Understanding the scale and value of paid social media advertising
To ensure the session speaks to your needs, participants will have the option to submit questions in advance during registration.

About the Teaching Artists:
Vivian Colligan: I specialize in Marketing, Graphic Design, and Strategic Communication, with work experience in nonprofits, and corporate sectors. I accomplish this through multi-media campaigns with data-driven results, event planning and management, and outreach communications with their mission, and values incorporated into every design.
Filomena Fanelli, CEO/Founder - Impact PR & Communications: Filomena Fanelli is not only a 26-year PR industry veteran – she’s also the CEO and founder of Impact PR & Communications, an award-winning public relations firm and New York State certified Women’s Business Enterprise. Based in the Hudson Valley, the agency was named the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Woman-Owned Business of the Year in the New York Metro District in 2024.
Fanelli has several accolades to her name: being recognized with a City & State Above & Beyond: Women award; receiving Lillian Vernon and Westfair Women Innovators nods; gracing the cover of Hudson Valley Magazine as one of its celebrated women in business; and being named an ATHENA Leadership Awards winner and a “Forty Under 40”. An involved community member, she serves as treasurer of the board of the Dutchess County Regional Chamber of Commerce and as a member of WEDC’s Leadership Think Tank and previously sat on the boards of the Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation (HVEDC) and Hudson River Housing and on executive committees for PRSA's Counselors Academy and the Women’s Leadership Alliance, among other volunteer roles. Fanelli is also the professional advisor for Marist University’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) and is a former adjunct professor and regular guest lecturer. She has presented as a featured speaker at the prestigious 92nd Street Y in New York City and numerous venues throughout the Hudson Valley region. A proud lifelong Dutchess County resident, Fanelli lives in Lagrangeville with her husband and two teenage daughters.
Ava Savosh: Ava Savosh serves as Vice President of Sales for iHeart Media's Upstate Area, where she plays a pivotal role in leading six markets to achieve effective and sustainable revenue growth. In this capacity, she partners with businesses and organizations across the United States, with a particular focus on the tri-state area, to deliver customized marketing strategies designed to meet their unique needs. These strategies leverage the power of multi-platform solutions, spanning audio, digital, and social media, to help clients connect with their target audiences and achieve measurable results. Ava holds a Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership from Mercy University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism from the State University of New York at New Paltz.
