Workshop Description: This engaging, hands-on workshop series helps artists gain confidence and clarity in how they present their work to the public. Over two sessions, participants will explore:
How to create compelling display setups that attract attention and support sales
The value of offering a collection at various price points
How to identify and communicate what makes your work unique
Artists will bring photos of their artwork and booth displays, along with 3–5 pieces of work or detailed images. We'll review and refine presentation strategies together, including demos of table and booth setups suited for Fine Craft/Fine Art shows, local markets, and pop-up events. Expect personalized feedback, practical tools, and peer support.
This course is ideal for emerging and established artists alike who are looking to grow their art business in a grounded, authentic way.
Materials Needed: Participants should bring:
Photos of their work and display setup
3–5 pieces of physical work or printed/digital representations
Pricing info for their items
Optional: portable display elements (if small enough to bring)
The instructor will provide a few display images and materials for demonstration.
About the Teaching Artist: Nicole Jurain is an award-winning professional potter and instructor with over 3 Decades of experience in fine craft. Her work is currently featured in museum shops, gallery exhibitions, and prestigious juried shows. In 2024, she was honored with Best in Show at the Bruce Museum Craft Festival, and she has twice been selected to exhibit at the renowned Smithsonian Craft Show in Washington D.C. (2022 and 2024). Nicole brings a wealth of practical knowledge to artists looking to refine their presentation, connect with buyers, and express their unique artistic voice with clarity and confidence.
